Why Some Trump Supporters Are Starting To Lose Faith Over Epstein Case Files And Missing Evidence

A growing number of Donald Trump’s long-time backers are reportedly starting to lose confidence in him after he defended his attorney general, Pam Bondi, and how she handled the controversial Epstein case files. For years now, conspiracy theories have swirled around claims that Jeffrey Epstein had a secret ‘client list’ tied to a global sex trafficking ring. That list, people believe, included high-profile and wealthy individuals.

But just last week, both Bondi and the Department of Justice dismissed the idea entirely. They said there’s no such list and confirmed that no further documents connected to the case would be made public.

“For years, it’s Epstein, over and over again.” Trump shared on Truth Social as the speculation kept growing. “Why are we giving publicity to Files written by Obama, Crooked Hillary, Comey, Brennan, and the Losers and Criminals of the Biden administration.”Although Trump seems to be hoping his supporters will eventually move past the controversy, many are still fired up. A number of them gathered recently at the Student Action Summit.

This summit, organized by the conservative group Turning Point USA, became a hub for heated conversations. One of the main talking points there was the Epstein files and how they were being handled.

“I think that these people — and I don’t know, for whatever reason, there could be reasons — but I don’t think they’re telling us the truth about Epstein.” said podcaster Brandon Tatum while speaking to the audience, according to NBC News.“I think that that guy was involved in something nefarious that implicates a whole lot of people. And my guess is that a whole lot of people may happen to be some of our allies and some people that we don’t want to have a bad relationship with.”

Another attendee, 24-year-old Sharon Allen, who was present at the Tampa event, voiced her disappointment too. She said: “It’s not even about Pam Bondi to me. It’s like, look, Trump, we elected you because you were supposed to be different.”“So you have to prove to us you’re different. … You can fire her Bondi, do whatever, but at the end of the day, Trump, you are president. We trusted you to get rid of these people and expose these people.”

A recent poll by ActiVote revealed that Trump’s popularity has taken a dip, reaching a low point in his second term as president. The survey questioned 523 adults between June 1 and June 30. Results showed that only 45 percent of Americans currently approve of Trump, while 52 percent say they disapprove of how he’s doing his job.

This brings his net approval rating down to -7, making it the lowest point he’s seen during his second term so far. And if the trend continues, the numbers could drop even more.Even though a lot of people are voicing frustration over Trump’s leadership, his current approval numbers are still slightly better than some of the lows from his first term. Back then, his rating once dropped as low as 41 percent.
